Wii MotionPlus and tennis elbow

Yeah, that's me with a tennis elbow.

I bought the Wii MotionPlus attachment for my Wiimote. In fact, I bought two. It's just to do lightsaber stuff more precisely. One of the two Wii MotionPlus comes with Wii Sports Resort, a collection of really nice games which use the Wii MotionPlus.

Not all games support WM+, only those which expressly state so. So your old games can't be beneficially used with it.

Yeah, I liked the swordfighting games and stuff, but what I liked best was the table tennis game. Comparing the old Wii Sports version and the new Wii Sports Resort is like comparing Ris Low with Rachel Kum. Both not perfect, but... ahem... one of them sucks. Oops, that didn't come out right... I'm gonna rely on the editor to get that right. (Editor: Sorry, Mike, you're on your own there.)

I played so much of that table tennis game, swinging my right arm on a relatively light load, hitting as hard as I could, that I actually developed tennis elbow. Horrendous, terrible, pain that felt like teeth being pulled; that kind of tennis elbow pain. Something I never got after playing tennis for four years and 4 hours a day 365 days a week (my stint in law school).

In short, that game was terribly good, and I'm quite an OK table tennis player, playing 2 hours per day, 365 days a year for two years (my Secondary 3 and 4 days).

Don't bother finding out when I had time to study--if you do like I do, you'll end up blogging for CNET Asia. So kids, don't try that at home.

Even with the tens of hours sticking at WSR table tennis, I haven't been able to reach the pro levels yet. Well, I guess I've gotta "keep fucking that chicken". (Kudos to Fox 5 news anchor Ernie Anastos for that quote.)
