Wii Fit your lifestyle?

Wii Fit was released in the US last week and I got my grubby hands on 1, .. no, two, three, four, five... yeah, at last count, it was five Wii Fit (friends asked me to buy it since my office is close to the Wii shop) and two Wii machines.
I could get to play only 7 minutes or so a day because everybody in the house was fighting for it. My brother and my kid were on it every free moment they had. This morning though, I woke up with aches in my lower body.
The Wii Fit's main component is the Wii board--you see it in the picture. It measures your weight and how your weight is distributed throughout the board. If you thought the Wii controller was magic, wait till you see the Wii board. It's an amazing device and the potential it unleashes is mindboggling. After you ski on the Wii board, every skiing game you've played in your life in a console is quickly rendered obsolete. The realism of skiing, skateboarding, etc., on a Wii board is amazing--the muscle groups which ache when skiing on the Wii board, for example, are exactly the same as the hurt you suffer when you actually ski. Without the upper body aches, of course.
It's funny too. I managed an almost optimal Body Mass Index, but when my brother stepped on it it went to almost Obese and we were rolling on the floor laughing. But the kicker was when we delivered one of these things to a larger person, and it was almost off the scale--that one we rolled on the floor laughing for a much longer time.
The magic of the Wii Fit and board is that it is instantly attractive to anybody. People hitherto and utterly disinterested in this game watched it with rapt attention. My three-year-old son who's more interested in balloons than anything else gave those rubber bursters a miss and went for this thing. He was even willing to stand still for a little while for the machine to measure his stats.
After this Wii Fit, it would be unethical and lying to recommend any other console other than the Wii to anybody who's not a hardcore gamer asking for a console for his family. Way to go... just waiting for weights which can fit a Wii Remote for a full fitness center.
Who needs California Fitness after this?

Wow you really made this sound like a lot of fun! Although aching thigh muscles is not fun.
