Google Philippines Top Searches for 2008

Google recently released their top searches for 2008 called Google Zeitgeist (the spirit of the times). Of course, the list consists of search patterns, trends, and surprises based on the searches made by the online community using Google.

Surprisingly, for the fastest rising list (global), Sarah Palin tops it. I was expecting Obama or McCain to gain top spot. Palin was followed by the Beijing Olympics and Facebook login was third. Tuenti was fourth followed by heath ledger, obama, nasza klasa, wer kennt wen, euro 2008 and jonas brothers.

For the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao leads the fastest-rising newsmaker while Charice Pempengco and Arnel Pineda leads the celebrity searches. The complete lists are:
