Indecent proposal to bloggers on automated election

I came across this posting from Ellen Tordesillas' blog site. Allegedly, someone from Smartmatic sent her a letter offering Ellen to write about their services. In exchange, she would be paid based on the number of articles written.

Smartmatic is the company that won the bidding for the Philippine 2010 poll automation. Tordesillas is one of the more respected writers/columnists here in the Philippines.

"Droid Does"--Will Droid do it for Motorola?

I remember my very first mobile phone. It was a Motorola, a bulky CDMA mobile phone with a rubber duck anthena and a one-line digital screen. During those times, we didnt' put our phones in our pockets because you just couldn't, owing to the size of it. Sony recalls VAIO AC power adapters

Sony recently announced that it is recalling some 69,000 Vaoi AC power adapters after receiving reports of units short-circuiting, which could pose an electrical shock hazard to Vaio owners.

The exact AC adapter being recalled is the Sony VGP-AC19V17 being used with the company's all-in-one Vaio desktops (VGC-LT and VGC-JS2 series), and Vaio docking stations (models VGP-PRBX1 and VGP-PRFE1.

Check your power adapters and, if it happens to be a VGP-AC19V17 adapter, it is recommended that you stop using it and contact Sony for a free replacement immediately.

Better safe than sorry.

I tried checking the Web, only to find out that Facebook had revamped its homepage feed. Facebook moved the Highlights from the right-hand side to the News Feed view in the main column. Now, why would Facebook do such a thing?
