Nov 25, 2008 22:41Back in August, I blogged about the iPhone Clone, the Meizu M8 (a.k.a. the MiniOne). To date, the MiniOne has still to be released but rumors say it will be launched before Christmas.
This past week, another iPhone clone hit the Hong Kong market, the mini iPhone m888a.
Size-wise, it's about two-thirds the size of the iPhone. Although branded the mini iPhone, it has no multitouch or other features such as 3G, App Store, iTune-like media players and zero internal storage (relies on microSD card for storage). Specifications-wise, it is just a mere GSM dual-band phone which features dual SIM cards, 2.4-inch display and a stylus. Nothing fancy.
But what strikes everyone is how the phone was packaged. Purely a ripoff, I'd say. Check out the following pictures and see for yourself. As for the price, HK$838 (US$107), WOW.
It even comes with two back covers for your own liking, unbelievable.
Check out the box and the adapter.
Really scratched my head over this one, Motorola or the iPhone.

@ PLo did you try the phone out before you bought it. It shouldn't be locked. Borrow a SIM from your friends and see if you can power it up. If not, you might have a defective phone. Also, check out and see whether the band you're using is compatible with the phone.

just lick the battery and put in and turn on it....
