Yet another full-frame dSLR, this time from Sony

The much-awaited full-frame dSLR from Sony A900's preview is finally out after its first announcement some 18 months ago. Check out the press release, detail specifications and preview over at Digital Photography Review, link here

The Alpha A900 is now Sony's high-end flagship dSLR featuring a 100 percent view, .74x Pentaprism viewfinder, an improved weather/dust-resistant body, full magnesium-alloy outer frame with a high-grade aluminum sub-frame, 5 frames per second full-frame capture, 3-inch 921k-pixel LCD, a 24.6-megapixel full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor, dual BIONZ processors, Intelligent Preview, and a retail price of US$2,999 (body only)(19,900 yuan in Mainland China reported on local HK forums this week).

According to DPR: "The A900 is launched with two new full-frame lenses, the 70-400mm F4-5.6 G SSM and this very nice Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 16-35mm F2.8 ZA SSM. Incidentally, you can use Sony/Minolta crop lenses (DT) on the Alpha 900 by switching on the 'crop mode' option."

I'm sure I'll be getting this once it's launched here. Definitely a value-for-money buy.
