Went to Web Wednesday Hong Kong v5.0 (a regular get-together held on the first Wednesday of every month organized by Napoleon Biggs of Palvana Digital Ltd) the past Wednesday night at Lotus Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge in Central. As usual, a great gathering with around 100 people in the local digital media and Internet industries attended the event.

Notable companies that joined the event included addict, aiya media, Beansbox, Born For Sports, Deyey (pronounced "d-eye-y"), Digital Dimension, doremus, Dookaz, fast search, fon hk, gjones, gravitas, your truly Hong Kong Phooey, Intel Semiconductor, International Herald Tribune, Metia, Milaga, Red Bricks Media, South China Morning Post, the interactive channel and outblaze.

In this week's event, Biggs introduced the first "sofa session" interview with Kevin Huang, CEO of Pixel Media Asia and vice chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing (HKAIM). Huang offered much of his insights on what the lowdown is regarding online advertising in Asia and what we could expect in the coming days.
