What do you like in a mobile phone?

McKinsey pointed out that most of us don't really use the advanced and expensive features packaged with our mobile gadgets. Well, duh!
My mom is a typical 60-year-old housewife who uses a simple Nokia 6080 phone. She knows to press the green button when she wants to make and answer calls, but please don't ask her to open an SMS text box or key a name into the Phonebook. Despite that, she sometimes wistfully imagines what life would be like if she had a "cooler" gadget.
For me, I have been using the Samsung F480 for some time now. I use it to make and receive calls and SMSes all the time. I use the Calendar, Phonebook, Camera and Alarm regularly. And I've used the Stopwatch, FM Radio, Music Player, Voice Recorder, World Clock, Calculator and Currency Converter, Email, Memo and Task from time to time.
Rarely do I use the phone to surf the Net or to Twitter.
Quite honestly, I haven't noticed anyone being impressed with the number of features on this phone. Nor have I seen anyone care what features I find useful. But every time I whip it out to make a call or take a photo, they are wowed by its nifty touchscreen.
So that's the way to really impress mobile phone consumers. Not so much with your variety of functions and features onboard, but with sheer good looks. And that's my opinion. What about you? What about the current generation of mobile phones impresses you?

User friendly, gotta have a camera with flash as I use it when I don't have my regular camera, alarm, calendar, notes, email box, vibrate on ring (for us older hearing impaired), Bluetooth, converter program, calculator, big screen, web access. That's what I have now on my N82 and use all except I don't have the big screen. Waiting for the N900, next phone for me.

Good User Interface , Big Screen , Strong Music Player & Supports Larg Capacity Of External Memory , Alarm , Bluetooth , Calculator , Email & Internet Isnt Important Here Cause Its Very Limited For Working With Mobile Phones . Also Camera Resolution Not Important For Me Cause I Have Always A Copmact Digicam In My Bag .
After Few Days I`m Going To Choose A New Mobile Phone , I Saw Samsung F480 ( Exactly What U Have Now ) In 1 Of My Freinds Hand & Worked It & Injoyed It .
Its Not Newest Samsung Phone But I Enjoyed That & Going For It Soon .
Hillary , Are U Have Any Problem With F480 ? It Satisfied You ?

I'm actively looking for a mobile phone as big as traditional home phone. There is no one selling such SIM-ready and big button home phone in the market.
Why? My old mum does not know how to use any mobile phone and she need a replacement before I "potong" Telekom landline.
