How Lenovo changed our Olympics experience
Aug 14, 2008 23:32
At Beijing 2008, Lenovo invited a collection of athletes to blog about their experiences, one of whom is our very own Josiah Ng.
Josiah is Malaysia's top national track cyclist who won the 2004 Malaysian Olympian and Sportsman of the Year after participating in the Athens Olympics 2004. Like the other athletes who blog, Josiah was provided with a new Ideapad laptop and a video camera to capture his experiences.
It's no wonder there is so much "camwhoring" at this game. As Josiah wrote on his blog:
"One thing I noticed is that athletes are absolute "camwhores", but I think part of the reason is due to the digital camera age. I don't normally take that many photos, but last night I must have taken over a hundred pictures. There were some interesting costumes from some of the African nations and I couldn't help myself from mingling with them. Our Baju Melayu was quite popular as I got a heap of people wanting pictures with me."
You can read Josiah's experiences at Lenovo's Voice of the Olympics page or directly at his Wordpress blog.
Ironically, Josiah cannot access his Wordpress blog in China, so he has to email the posts to his PR manager who publishes them.
Still, you can pop over to share in his experiences and show your support. :)
