Flock! It's an extrovert's party

I downloaded the eco-friendly version of the Flock browser five days ago and feel like banging my head against the wall for not having bothered with Flock earlier.

Flock is like the Princess Diana of Internet browsers. It calls itself the people-powered browser. Here's one of it's people-oriented feature.

From the sidebar, you can immediately connect to various social-networking sites. It saves your login information so you won't have to bother signing in and out each time.

Previously, I avoided Twitter because I didn't want to spend hours logging onto so many sites. But now that it's in my sidebar, I'm a Twit! I mean Twitterer! Feel free to follow me. I'm looking for more friends to follow, too :)

On Earth Day, Flock released an eco-friendly version. From the Flock blog:

"We've recently embarked on an exciting project to create some new "editions" of Flock, which will appeal to people who share strong passions for particular causes and topics. We are launching our maiden "edition" today: The "Eco-Edition” of the Flock browser."

I guess it's the kind of thing that people-powered browsers do. I urge you to download the eco-edition as 10 percent of proceeds will go to an environmental charity of the people's choice. Naturally.

Just a thought:- if People-Powered Browsers care enough about the causes you are passionate about to create an eco-friendly edition, why is it that none of the politicians in Malaysia (be it BN or PKR) have mentioned anything about the environment?
