Sony P-series, "Netbook" design finally leaked?

We know that Sony will launch its new series called P which might stand for "pocket" during CES 2009 (January 20 09, 2009). SonyStyle has already leaked information about the P-series a while ago but no one has actually gotten an image of this notebook.

Sony VAIO's full lineup and the P-series are about to be added soon.

Teaser image from Sony Japan site.

First image and info which leaked information on the new Sony P-series from FCC.

Details have been leaked from one of Sony's sites and it's all over the Internet now. 8-inch LED backlit and 1,600 x 768 resolution... Will it be possible to read on this?

This is an image we've been looking for! Sony P-series. Is it true or false?

I'm going to visit CES 2009 for a business trip but I'm sure I will spend a lot of time seeking new stuff that will be released there, like Sony's P-series. Just wait another two weeks till I confirm if this is really an actual picture of the Sony P-series.

Also, there will be more new mobile PC stuff to come from global brands like Samsung's new version of the Ultra Q1 and maybe LG will rebuild its first edition of the MID which was shown at CES 2008. And Toshiba displayed its MID at CES 2008 as well but that hasn't been released yet, which means it may be modified and integrated as well. What an exciting time about to come in the next two weeks.

Guys, hold your breath for just two more weeks. I will give you all the answers soon!

I need to purchase a new laptop for my business trip but I can't since this new Sony P-series might be sweet enough to make a play for my pocket. Should I carry my big, heavy company laptop for those seven days?

Those who are going to CES 2009, do drop me an email. It would be great if we can have a chat and share thoughts about the new gadgets at Las Vegas!

About Kevin (Kilmo) Kang

Kevin (Kilmo) Kang is a self-professed IT-savvy guy who's been having the time of his life making tech deals with new business partners in the Asia-Pacific areas. Like every Korean, he's gadget-crazy and is glad he lives in a country with one of the fastest-growing tech markets in the world. His taste for international work, however, arose from a nine-year stay in New Zealand where he fortunately made more friends than there are sheep.
