Is there such a thing as being too paranoid? We don't think so. In fact, if we can secure our flash drives with pressure pads, infrared sensors and retina scanners, we would. But a USB flash stick with a combination lock is probably the next best thing.

Created by Yanko Design, this concept prototype is obviously unique. The USB connector is locked into the body. To release it you'll need to turn the inner rings to the correct numbers to flick the switch. However, a two-number code means a paltry 100 possible combinations, while software encryption is much harder to crack. As such, this is probably meant as a deterrent rather than a real security measure. Still, we'll give it extra points for its sheer cool factor.

Tracking laptop and PC trends since 2005, Darius Chang may have been knee deep in bits and bytes but is certainly not a binary person. Under that big and soft exterior holds a marshmallow core which dotes on his god-daughters and nephew. Suspected of ADD, his interests span disparate fields such as sustainability studies, diving, sports, politics, etc. A true jack of all trades, but master of one (maybe two).
