Asus Netbook first with Intel dual-core N550 processor

It was arguably the first to bring public attention to the Netbook segment with the original Eee PC 701. Now, Asus makes another pioneering move with the announcement of a dual-core Netbook, the Eee PC 1015PEM, running on Intel's latest Atom N550 processor.

Specs-wise, the machine follows the same format as its predecessor, so don't expect a total revamp of the Netbook experience. Still, with a faster DDR3 RAM and multi-core chip, multitasking should be significantly improved in the new model.
